Among other surprises, the Caldera of Graciosa harbours the Nature Reserve & Recreation Park of Caldeira. In the woods, a large variety of enormous trees offer visitors a cool shade and a pretty landscape, something not so common on the rest of the island.

Recently renovated, the Reserve has now new picnic areas and playground equipment. Don’t miss the small walking trails leading into the woods and to three belvederes displaying unique views of the heart of the volcanic caldera.
